2012 Dodge Charger Bumble Bee
2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee Review
Classic Muscle Car, Revisited
In short: An update on Dodge's classic HEMI-powered muscle car.
R evived once again for the 2012 model year, the Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee plays on America's collective nostalgia for audacious muscle cars that unabashedly burn fuel in pursuit of that most noble of all goals — more horsepower. And with its aggressive 470-hp, 6.4-liter V8 HEMI, the SRT8 Super Bee does a decidedly good job of achieving this goal. Dressed in a distinctive bumble bee yellow, this full-size sports sedan shoots from 0-60 in just 4.2 seconds in spite of its hulking two tons of machinery. The cabin is appropriately bare-bones, allowing the driver to concentrate on the road without distraction and also shedding 100 pounds off the standard SRT8. However, Dodge does make some concessions to comfort and convenience, managing to squeeze in a small Uconnect touchscreen display with voice command, Bluetooth and streaming audio.
